JLee Jonathan Lee

After earning a Master’s in Business Administration in 1996, Mr. Lee joined CB Richard Ellis as an Account Manager managing lease acquisitions, dispositions, buyouts, and renegotiations for a nationwide healthcare client. Mr. Lee completed more than $40 million in lease transactions between 1998 and 2001, and earned his CCIM certification in 2000. Mr. Lee has provided data center purchase/lease negotiations, tenant representation services, site selection services and consulting work for several large corporations, including AllState Insurance, Bank of America, Cornerstone Wealth & Tax Advisory Group, Global Crossing, HLB Gross Collins, OnCare Management, and Uniglobe Courier Services. 

In 2004, he and his family moved to Charleston, where he started Choice Realty to provide buyer and tenant representation for companies and real estate investors. Mr. Lee specializes in helping corporate tenants/buyers locate and negotiate the purchase or lease of industrial, office and retail space via Tenant Representation Services, saving his clients between 20-30% off occupancy costs. His list of corporate and investment clients in the Charleston region includes the Alzheimer’s Association, ApartmentFinder.com, Ashley Shores Investments, Carolina Hair Surgery, Cornerstone Wealth & Tax Advisory Group, DC Machine, Edwards Properties, Eileen’s, Esther Victory Ministries, Gyro-Trac, Japan Karate Institute, KLM Environmental, L & N Cleaners, Liberty National Life Insurance, Lowcountry Endocrine & Diabetes Associates, Marigolds, ProGolf, Smarter Accounting Solutions, Shear Excellence, Telogical Systems; and, Choice Realty’s Corporate Real Estate Services Group is a referral Tenant Rep provider for OfficeFinder.com and WeFindSpace.com. Other services provided by Choice Realty include property management, residential services including REO (bank-owned listings) and buyer representation, and via an affiliation, insurance services in life, health, property and casualty products.

Mr. Lee serves on the Board of Directors for Dorchester County’s Children’s Center (Children in Crisis), was appointed Publicity Chair for 2010 and Co-Chair of Development for the 2010 Kitchen Tour in October; and serves on the Board of Trustees at Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina; and, recently served as a member of the Money Matters Advisory Team which hosts a Talk Radio show every Saturday from 9-10AM on 94.3FM. Mr. Lee served as President in 2008 and Vice President in 2009 of the Greater Summerville BNI Chapter; and, served on the Board of Directors as Public Relations Chairman for the Lowcountry Senior Network in 2006-2007. Mr. Lee resides in Historic Summerville, enjoys spending time with his two children, participates in triathlons, and his hobbies include hunting, fishing, creative writing, cooking and making a variety of ice cream and sorbets.
